To learn how I got into acting... Keep reading below!
My acting career all started because I was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes. Yep, you heard that right.
Type 1 Diabetes is an autoimmune lifelong condition, for which I will always and forever need insulin. It is different than Type 2 (which is much more common), because I didn’t do anything to cause it; my pancreas just started shutting down on its own. And, until a cure is found, I will always be a Type 1 Diabetic.
But, I do not let that define me. Soon after my diagnosis, I knew I wanted to help spread awareness and created an Instagram (@sugarandswaglife). I made fun videos and loved being in front of the camera. Companies began asking me to do promotional videos for them and, before you know it, I found my way into acting … and discovered my passion as an actor!
